Ms. Emily & Mrs. Summer’s 8th Grade Social Studies Classes
As our 8th graders wrapped up their unit on the Second Industrial Revolution, students took part in an assembly line activity. They experienced the fast-paced demands of factory work and later came together to form a “union,” using communication and negotiation skills to advocate for better working conditions—just like workers did in the late 1800s.
